Making Mature Choices
Sometimes growing to adulthood seems overwhelming.  Maintaining your standards
grows progressively more difficult. But in the middle of all these things, make sure they
do not interfere with your service to God.

Establish Priorities. Decide what is most important—service to God, family
relationships.  Jesus spoke to Martha of her misplaced priorities,
“You are worried and
troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good
part, which will not be taken away from her.” (Luke 10:41-42).

Stick With Your Priorities. As changes and adjustments overwhelm your new hectic
lifestyle, you will feel forced into changing or adjusting your priorities.  Adjust the lower
ones. Retain your spiritual priorities,
“No one having put his hand to the plow and
looking back is fit for the kingdom of God.” (Luke 9:62).
Be persistent!

Take A Stand. Others are looking to you. You can be a light to others who want to take a
stand for what is right too.
“Let your light so shine before men that they may see your
good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16).

Becoming an adult is not easy.  But then, what choice do you have?

God's Teenage Heroes--
The Bible records the young adult years of some of its greatest characters.  They were
normal teenagers, yet they possessed faith in God which caused them to stand head
and shoulders above their peers.  Here are their stories...

Modern Teenage Heroes--
Our world needs more heroes--like young people who stand up for their faith in the
middle of great obstacles.  Perhaps if the Bible were being written today, it would be
YOUR story that was told instead of the characters listed above...
