Can We Understand The Bible?
Most people think they can’t.  Variable annuities, schematics, nuclear energy, even the
IRS tax code—those we understand. Okay...maybe not the tax code. We master the
most difficult concepts yet claim the Bible is hopeless.

Let’s be fair.  If we find the Bible confusing, it is not God’s fault because
“God is not the
author of confusion” (1 Corinthians 14:33).
Much contemporary confusion arises from
so many different interpretations of the Bible.  Actually,
‘interpretations’ is a misnomer—
the problem is our
“misinterpretations” of the Bible.

What Does The Bible Say About Doctrines--
Much religious debate goes on about God's teachings. Are they really that difficult or are
we just not letting the Bible speak for itself and answer those questions?

What Does The Bible Say About Worship--
Worship is homage that is paid by someone who recognizes his dependence on a
Higher Power. Has God said anything about acceptable worship? Where better to find
that answer than in the Scriptures themselves?

Bible knowledge is attainable “as I wrote before in a few words, by which, when you
read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ” (Ephesians 3:3-4; cf.
2 Timothy 2:15).
You can understand the Bible—but like everything else worthwhile you
have to expend the effort.
